Warm Wednesdays Return to London South East Colleges

A collaborative event hosted by London South East Colleges and London Borough of Bromley's Tackling Loneliness initiative welcomed Bromley residents to BR6 Restaurant.

Marking the return of the hugely successful #WarmWednesdays as part of the nationwide Good for Me Good for FE campaign, residents were invited to visit London South East Colleges BR6 Restaurant for a complementary hot lunch.

Cooked and served by the college's Hospitality and Prince's Trust students, guests were offered a choice of fish pie or vegetable lasagne, as they discussed local services available including health, wellbeing and financial support.

This is the second year that the college and London Borough of Bromley have worked together to further support those facing loneliness.

Karen Oliver, Strategic Programme Manager, said of the event: "Warm Wednesdays are a great opportunity for our students to give back to the community and live our college values. We're really proud of our ongoing partnership with the London Borough of Bromley's Tackling Loneliness initiative, providing hot meals, support and guidance to those who need it in our community."

The next Warm Wednesday lunch will take place on Wednesday 21 February from 12.30-2pm at BR6 Restaurant, Orpington. For more information on the Tackling Loneliness initiative, https://www.bromley.gov.uk/loneliness.
