We are thrilled to share that Andrei, one of our talented Brickwork apprentices, secured second place in the junior category at the Guild of Bricklayers (GOB) 2025 national final, held on 2 April 2025.
The competition, is a highlight in the UK construction calendar and brings together the country’s most skilled up-and-coming bricklayers. Organised by the Guild of Bricklayers, a respected institution since 1932, the annual event celebrates craftsmanship, precision, and technical excellence in brickwork. Through a series of regional heats and with support from leading industry partners, the contest identifies and showcases top talent from construction colleges across the UK.
Andrei represented London South East Colleges with outstanding skill, demonstrating the high-quality training and hands-on experience he’s gained as an apprentice at Flahive Brickwork. His achievement is a testament to his dedication and the strength of our construction programmes.
Certificates and prizes were presented by Bill Bowman PGB, the current President of the Guild of Bricklayers, making the moment even more special for all the finalists.
This success not only highlights Andrei’s individual talent but also reinforces the college’s commitment to developing the next generation of construction professionals. We’re incredibly proud of his hard work and can’t wait to see where his journey takes him next.
