The initiative was powered by the College's recently formed Empower Programme set up to fund and support a number of different projects and activities for students giving them unique opportunities and experiences that are confidence building and empowering.

Students had the opportunity to take part in the show by designing a range of fashion items and modelling their own designs, or see other students model their work on the catwalk.

Students from all across the College and curriculum areas entered the design competition and the winners had their work selected to be printed on clothes and showcased at the show. Students were given funding to paint and design their own clothes and outfits.

Students taking part were selected one of three roles - model, stylists or designers. The Students on the day were involved with the performance and the design creation.

Jaden Monserrat Palma was chosen as Student Designer of the Year for her beautiful designs.

Bella Martin, Maddie Harrison and Elsa Healy were Student Stylists Of The Year. They worked together as a team to paint, customise and put together some incredible outfits.

Engagement Officer, Karina Thomas is a founder member and leader of the Empower Project. She said: "The Fashion Show was a great opportunity for our students to showcase their artwork and was an exciting event enjoyed by students and the audience. We look forward to creating more events like this in the future."

Many Thanks to London College of Performing Arts (LSPA) for their support in supplying models and their technician for this event. They helped us make this fashion show a great success.
