Hairdressers can shampoo and condition hair, cut hair using various techniques, style and finish hair to create multiple looks, and colour and lighten hair for ladies and men. . Hairdressers must be able to work with all hair types, ranging from straight hair to very curly, wiry hair. They also need to be able to conduct consultations with clients, demonstrate the professionalism, values, behaviours, communication skills and safe working practices associated with their role and work without supervision to a high level of precision, with exceptional client care skills.

  • Entry Requirements

    5 GCSEs, including Maths and English, Apprentices without Level 1 English and Maths will need to achieve this level before taking their End Point Assessment. Individuals requiring additional support must participate in an intensive week programme or attend weekly sessions.

  • Delivery

    Induction One day induction to Apprenticeship programme, meeting with a Skills Coach and Delivery Plan agreed.

    In College Weekly workshops and monthly work based session for the duration of Programme.

    Assessment On programme assessments every 6-8 weeks, including progress reviews every 8-10 weeks.
