This course will enable students to develop the skills and knowledge required, to enable progression to further study in health and social care settings and ultimately to work in these or other related sectors. This qualification is an ideal foundation, for those students who are not yet ready to progress to the Level 3 Access to H.E. qualification.

  • Entry Requirements

    Prospective students will be asked to undertake an initial English and maths assessment. They should also have achieved at least one Level 2 qualification (GCSE or Functional Skills) in maths and/or English. However, students who have achieved both Level 1 qualifications in English and maths or are in the process of studying for Level 2 qualifications in maths and/or English, will be considered. We will also consider students who have achieved recognised non-UK equivalencies in maths and/or English.

  • Assessment

    Assessment will be in the form of coursework, in-class examinations and presentations.

  • Moving Forward

    Progression to Level 3 Access to H.E. Nursing, Health & Human Sciences or Social Work.
